Hypnotic hybrid-electronica artist Fifi Rong will be making her first astral venture onto vinyl for her compilation album Alone. There are 100 limited signed and numbered copies available.

Rong announced a Pledge Music Campaign for the album on her Facebook music page.

“After countless requests over the years from all you music lovers and collectors,” Fifi wrote on her Pledge Music page,

”I have finally decided to try and raise the funds to make my FIRST EVER VINYL ALBUM containing my 10 most popular songs via this Pledge Music campaign. The only thing that stopped me from releasing before is the sky-high cost of manufacturing.

“You’ll be able to pick up 1 of only 100 signed and numbered copies or get your hands on 1 of the highly exclusive signed test pressings. Oh, and to make things even more special, you can even get your name credited in the liner notes!!

“As if that wasn’t enough, I will also spoil all pledgers with a high quality MP3 of my forthcoming single ‘Future Never Comes’, well ahead of its October release date. FYI, this song is the result of collaboration with a fan who pledged to write/produce a song with me during my first Pledge campaign, and it turned out amazing!

“So join me guys, whether it’s your first time or not, as I’m so looking forward to this virtual ‘togetherness’ and share my latest insights of what’s going on in my music life!!! See you on the inside!!! Fifi xx”

Rong was born in Beijing, China, and came of age in London. Her music melds traditional Chinese folk melodies with Dub Reggae, Jazz, Soul, Dubstep and Trip for mesmerizing musical soundscapes. The singer/producer promised has been compared with Kelli Ali, Moloko and Lana Del Rey.

Fifi takes genre-bending very seriously. She is exploring the possibilities of hybrid electronica. Fifi incorporates a wide range of genres such as Electronica, Jazz, Dub, Hip Hop and Pop into her production.

Fifi collaborated with Phaeleh, Skepta, Tricky and Boris Blank/Yello, as well as film maker Paris Seawell, culminating in writing, recording, and producing the ‘Violently Silently’ EP herself, before being mixed by Lee Slater, who has previously worked with the likes of Roots Manuva, Roll Deep and M.I.A.  Rong has already established herself internationally as a stand-out live performer, with headline shows throughout the UK, Europe, and China/Hong Kong. She has gotten radio support from BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 1 Xtra and BBC 6Music.
