Infamous left-hand-path magician Zeena Schreck’s works get a book release party.
LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y., Sept. 16 /Daily Offbeat/ — Zeena Schreck, possibly the most powerful and renowned magical practitioner alive today, announced that her new book, “The Zaum of Zeena,” will be released this weekend at the NY Art Book Fair.
“The Zaum of Zeena: A Collection of Interviews, Essays, Quotes and Images” was written by Zeena Schreck, edited by Frank Haines and published by Heinzfeller Nileisist.
This Premiere Limited Edition of 50 copies will be presented especially for the 10th annual at the NY Art Book Fair 2015, at MOMA/PS1 on Sept. 17-20, 2015. The Premiere edition costs $9 and will be found exclusively at the Heinzfeller Nileisist booth, Table A21, in the Zine & Small Press Tent.
The tenth annual NY Art Book Fair is being presented by Printed Matter. It runs from September 18 to 20, 2015, at MoMA PS1, Long Island City, Queens. A preview will be held on Thursday, September 17.
The fair is free and open to the public. This year, the fair features over 370 booksellers, antiquarians, artists, institutions and independent publishers from twenty-eight countries. Last year’s fair was attended by more than 35,000 people.
Zeena Schreck, also co-wrote “Demons of the Flesh: The Complete Guide to Left Hand Path Sex Magic,” with Nikolas Schreck.
Counter-culture icon Zeena Schreck is an American born, Berlin-based interdisciplinary artist, working as a photographer, graphic artist, musician/composer, writer, animal rights activist, magician and mystic. Her artwork stems from her mystical experience. Zeena has practiced and taught magic and meditation for over 30 years. The daughter of Church of Satan founder Anton LaVey, was exposed to magic and sorcery since her childhood. Between 1988-1993 Zeena was composer, vocalist, musician and graphic designer for the sonic magical musical project Radio Werewolf.
Zeena renounced the pseudo-satanic religion of her family in favor of Eastern left-hand spiritual lineages in the 1990s. She is currently a practicing Tibetan Buddhist yogini and the spiritual leader of the Sethian Liberation Movement, which was founded in 2002.
